By Annette Bishop

If your home has been infested with pests that has been causing you considerable trouble and inconvenience, then the best option for you is to retaliate. Here are some steps on how you can possibly create natural ant bait traps to rid your home from such infestations.

Never begin the task unless you have successfully gathered all the items that you will need. For instance, you need to have a small cardboard box, which will serve as your container, boric acid, mint jelly or peanut butter, and a piece of cracker as well.

You will be using the card board box as the container of the mixture which you have to be making later on. Since you need the pests to come inside the material, you have to ensure that there are points of entries therein that will allow them to do so. Hence, poke holes on it.

You will also need to create the necessary mixture for the ant bait traps afterward. To better get this task done, it is recommended that you will find a container so cane easily do the mixing process. Then, you have to combine peanut butter or mint jelly with boric acid.

Once the mixture has been successfully created, your next move is to ensure that you are able to spread this onto the piece of cracker which you have. Be sure to put in generous amounts of the mixture so you get to attract more pests in the process.

Position the cracker in that specific part of the cardboard which has the most holes so it gets to attract more pests in the process. Afterward, you can have the box positioned somewhere that you believe these pests often frequent.

When buying boric acid for the ant bait traps, you can look them up in the cleaning section or the laundry area in the supermarkets. Also, since they kill these pests even with just body contact, there is no need for one to use them in such considerable amount.
