By Alonza Martinlerr

If you think your nose looks disproportionate to the rest of your face and it already affects your self-confidence, then a cirugia de nariz can help you. A nasal surgery can give you the nose you desire. A nose job can make your nostril less flaring, raise a drooping nose tip, or correct a crooked nose. A nose surgery can also be done for non-aesthetic reasons. Surgeries of such sort are called functional rhinoplasty.

What are the different types of cirugia de nariz procedures?

There are two types of rhinoplasty procedure which can be performed, the closed technique or the open technique. The former is best for minor changes while the latter is reserved for more aggressive reshaping. Regardless of technique, general anesthesia will be used during the procedure.

Is rinoplastia or cirugia de nariz suitable for me?

If the appearance of your nose is bothering you or if some defects make it difficult to breathe, you are a candidate for nasal surgery. You have to remember though that not everybody can undergo this type of surgery. Generally speaking, you have to be at a good level of health and fitness before you can have this surgery done. A good level of health and fitness will also shorten your recovery time. The proper mindset is also an important requirement before getting this surgery, that is, your expectations should be reasonable.

Cuanto cuesta la cirugia de nariz?

There is no uniform answer for the question "Cuanto cuesta la operacion la nariz?" The cost of a nose job can differ substantially depending on where the procedure will be performed and who will do it. For example, surgeons in London will charge you anywhere from 2,000 to 6,000, while surgeons in Spain will typically charge 450 to 900 only. Remember not to decide solely on cost though. Find a surgeon who has a number of successful rhinoplasty procedures so you have better likelihood of getting the nose you like.

Are there risks involved in rhinoplasty?

Although complications and side effects are rare, they can still happen. You can reduce these risks substantially by getting the right person to do the job, by staying healthy and following treatment protocols. During the course of the surgery, accidental perforation of the septum is possible, and this can result to a chronic case of nose bleeding. Again, rhinoplasty is generally safe, and only 5% of patients have complications.
